What We Do
The JB&B Deep Carbon Reduction Group provides energy services and develops strategic solutions to help our clients decarbonize their buildings in a cost effective, purposeful, and proactive way. Specializing in strategic building decarbonization and energy master planning over an extended time horizon, we look at the unique characteristics of buildings and work alongside our clients to develop decarbonization plans that take into account real-world considerations such as grid decarbonization, the policy environment, capital planning cycles, tenant leasing turnover considerations and more.
Our work assumes a wide range of forms, from comprehensive development of Deep Decarbonization Roadmaps to more traditional compliance activities. Energy modeling, energy analysis, energy-efficient design, capital planning, LEED and other sustainability services, rebate and cost-sharing support, and preparing our clients to successfully navigate NYC energy-related local laws (Local Law 84, Local Law 87, Local Law 97) are all a part of our approach to providing a clear path toward a low-carbon future for our clients.
We integrate with new-construction design teams to study and evaluate the impact of building systems on energy consumption and carbon emissions and educate the project team on industry trends. All of this helps our clients plan and execute on projects that will bring them closer to a low-or zero-carbon future and, regardless of the project scope, we deliver dynamic and interactive work products that clearly communicate the path forward and help clients find the solutions they need.
